Traditional plastic tree guards protect young trees from roe deer, but eventually become single-use plastic waste. Willow Worlds replaces them with living willow structures that grow naturally as part of the landscape.
Stage 1
Living willow cuttings are planted and woven together to create a protective fedge around newly planted trees.
Stage 2
Fresh shoots emerge as the willow takes root, creating a stronger living structure each year.
Stage 3
As the willow matures, it protects young trees while supporting wildlife and becoming part of the landscape.
